
There is so much to do for Halloween in Wicklow with events and activities for young and old alike. Our local campsite Hidden Valley is open for weekends in October offering lots of free ghoulish activities for those staying overnight. Alternatively if you are looking to get away from the horror shows you can overnight at Glenmalure Lodge in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains or spend the night in the forest with Tipi Adventures… if you dare!

Wicklow’s Historic Gaol – Halloween Programme
Spooky fancy dress tours, paranormal activity and lots of terror for all the family in one of Ireland’s most haunted buildings! Wicklow’s Haunted Gaol launches its spookiest Halloween Programme yet from Sat 27th – Wed 31st Oct 2018.
Halloween Fun at Killruddery House
For a less ghoulish experience bring the family to Halloween Seasonal Fun at Killruddery House for a weekend of fun and games from the 27 – 28 October 2018 between 11:00 – 16:00.
Choose your own pumpkin in the walled garden pumpkin patch, create your design and have it carved by the Killruddery master craftsman! Afterwards creep over to the scarecrow plots to build your own scarecrow and enter in the scarecrow competition. You can come prepared with clothes and hats from home to use with the straw and other materials provided to bring your scarecrow to life!
A wonderfully creative and festive day out for all the family .
Killruddery Charity Halloween Ball
On Saturday 27th October 7.30pm til late in the Killruddery Grain Store! This Halloween ball in aid of Their Lives Matter will be one to remember with a Gala Dinner, entertainment, dancing and fantastic Halloween costumes. Tickets on sale here. For more info click here.
Poisonous Pantry at Russborough House
Enjoy Halloween at Russborough House from the 27 – 31 October 2018. Fun activities include Cookie Decorations, Face Painting, Spooky Storytelling and yummy hot chocolate in the Tea Rooms. You could even cycle or walk the Blessington Greenway while you are there!
Father Ted Fest @ Wicklow Brewery
The 7th annual Redcross Father Ted Fest takes place at Wicklow Brewery and Mickey Finn’s Bar in Redcross on Saturday October 27th from 19:30. Meet all your favourite characters including Father Ted, Father Jack, Dougal, and of course Go on Go on Mrs Doyle. The tea and drink are guaranteed to be flowing.
Monster Mash @ Hidden Valley Holiday Park
Over the bank-holiday weekend (26 – 29 October) Hidden Valley Holiday Park host their annual Monster Mash, a family fun weekend full of excitement, costumes, treats, games and very spooky goings-on including Trick-or-Treating, Best Costume Awards for both adults and children, Spooky storytelling, Haunted games and challenges, Surprise Special effects and much much more!
Enter the Ascarium at Sea Life in Bray
Take a step into the creepy deep at SEA LIFE Bray this Halloween and navigate the Ascarium; an immersive trail which takes you past some of the scariest sea creatures. Find hidden potion ingredients before making your way to the Sea Witch’s lair. Along the way, discover facts about some of the freakiest creatures of the sea! Full details here.

Glendalough Treasure Hunt
Daily from 27 October – 4 November between 10am to 5pm, this FREE event is a 30 minute treasure hunt in the beautiful surroundings of Glendalough to find some facts about Halloween, nature and folklore. Halloween in the Woods
Tipi adventures bring you a hauntingly good experience in the woods of Wicklow on Saturday 27th of October. Are you brave enough to enjoy a trick-or-treat walk in the woods and listen to stories being told by the campfire. At the end of the day cook up some spooky treats over the campfire. One lucky family will win a free weekend at Tipi Adventures. If you have nerves of steel then you can overnight in the woods, enjoy a delicious Halloween stew, watch a scary movie amongst the trees by the river and share a tipi for a wicked night.
