Who’s going to Vantastival?

Who’s going to Vantastival?

With only 3 of our gorgeous VW Campers still available for Vantastival we wonder who will be the lucky ones snapping up the opportunity for this very special weekend experience… rocking up in a fully kitted Lazy Days camper is the perfect way to guarantee an unforgettable weekend of festival fun.

Vantastival has long since been a staple of the festival calendar for us Lazy Days die hards 🙂 Whether you’re a family with small kids or just out to chill for the weekend, the intimate atmosphere and setting at Vantastival has everything you need.

Vantastival is certainly a family friendly festival. Children under 3 have free entry.  3-13 year olds cost €5 for a day or €7 for a weekend ticket. We always hit Vantastival as a big group of friends and children, that’s a lot of  children made easy by shared parenting. The beauty of Vantastival is that they have a very relaxed approach to camping; you can set up your own mini camp and we do this in style… creating a big corral with tents and campers is easy and we bring our own dry space bell tent, kitchen, cooking area and brazier. The best part is watching the kids around the fire toasting marshmallows and telling stories… we are training the next generation of festival goers in early! If setting up a giant camp isn’t your thing then there is plenty to do to keep the kids entertained onsite… the stunning walled gardens at Beaulieu house are packed full of kids activities. Last year it was laid out like the Mad Hatter’s tea party within the stunningly beautiful cottage gardens which were bursting with blossoms… it’s an idyllic spot for children and adults alike… and when the kids are happy the adults can go and play…

Vantastival’s compact intimate size means that the music tents are only a stone’s throw away. There is a wide eclectic mix of musical styles to suit every ear. All Irish homegrown musicians providing everything from trad to banging house.Have you seen the Line Up this year? It includes The Riptide Movement, Kila, The Eskies, Andy Smith (ex. Portishead) and The Pale to name but a few. We hope our old favorites King Kong Company will be back to rip it up in the wee hours. The new Glass House stage looks like a promising addition and we look forward to visiting the Backwards stage, a brand new late night area in the woods with DJs playing to 5am – something to keep the late night revellers going till the very early hours!

Last but not least Vantastival is a great place to spot wacky vehicles. The experience would not be complete without a ramble around the campsite to spot all of the gorgeous Volkswagen campers old and new, strange and wonderful conversions and interesting old vans… every year we wonder what will roll in…  and if it rains will it make it back out again!!!

So get your skates on and book one of our last available campers Dakar, Snow or Bandit before it’s too late! We’ll see you there 🙂
